First Nations people are considered the world’s first astronomers, drawing upon the stars to provide a blueprint for their people to safely navigate long journeys across the land, sea, and waterways. Mapping and understanding the stars was critical to the survival and livelihood of the aboriginal tribes and was used to guide them in all aspects of life.

For this reason, we chose Wirrigee, meaning ‘Star’ in the local Mackay (Yuwibara) dialect as our company name as we felt it best represents our core goals and values; Aim high, lead by example, and help guide now and in the future.
